The Tanzania Culture Trust Fund is a non for profit organization established in 1998 for the purpose of enabling the culture sector attain its appropriate place in national development process by collecting financial and other forms of support from development partiners/ friends of the culture sector;then redirect the support to the sector through grants and awards.Todate the organization has allocated grants to over 400 groups,individuals and artists engaged in various activities in the sector.The activities fall under six culture sub sectors namely;Culture Heritage.Language and Literature,Audio Visual, Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Crafts,and Culture Industries.The Fund has awarded 70 distinguished performers whose contribution in the sector deserved recognition and award as a token of appreciation of their dedication, as well as a motivation for other people to emulate. The bulk of the organization grants have enabled marginalised and disadvantaged groups in both rural and urban areas implement cultural activities varying from writing books,making handcrafts, holding educational performances,participating in festivals at national and international levels etc
The Fund receives and welcome support from people and partiners who wish to support the culture sector in Tanzania.
